Five ways for singles to celebrate Valentine's Day

Love may not always be in the air.
So often, it seems as if couples and relationships are an epidemic.  First, one friend finds a boyfriend or girlfriend, and suddenly, it seems as if you are the only single person in your crew.
Does this situation sound familiar?  If so, do not worry.  Being single is a lot better than being in a terrible relationship.  You are finally free to flirt with whomever you want.
Now is the time when anything is possible.  You can listen to whatever kind of music you wish.
There is no more worrying if your significant other is cheating on you, or if your relationship may be at its end.
So for all of those single ladies and guys, I have composed a list of how any single person can celebrate Valentine's Day without shame.

1. Buy yourself some chocolate
This may sound desperate at first, but candy makes everything better.  Indulge in a decadent dish and eat some delicious foods.  No one can stop you.  While overeating is frowned upon, some chocolate never hurt anyone.  Just relax, and make a milkshake to go with it.
2. Find your perfect celebrity soulmate
Josh Hutcherson is back on the market.  So are a whole new batch of freshly broken-up celebrities.  Google your favorite actor.  Send one of them a friendly tweet.  Look at a famous person's Instagram account.  Now is your chance to fall in love with an icon.
3. Watch an hour of the most outrageous television show you can find
Today is a time for laughter and amusement.  See how long it takes you to change the channel after tuning into "Killer Karaoke" or even a cartoon show.  The entire point of this tip is to find a hilarious show to laugh about.  Television, like chocolate and celebrities, can fix anything.
4. Make a list of your best qualities
Today is an opportunity to find out more about yourself.  Are you great at math?  Are you outgoing?  If so, you are lucky.  Today is meant for a celebration of all of your best traits.  It's a chance to find new confidence in one's self, even if that self is single.  Moreover, the act of making lists is much more relaxing than one might expect.
5. Laugh it off
Laughter has been called the best medicine.  Take some time to laugh away all of your insecurities and make fun of yourself  in a good way.  Stay humble, and spend time practicing your best dance moves in front of a mirror.  Or, go the yoga route.  Go outside and ride a bike or throw a football.  Just do something outside of your comfort zone.  If you are in a relationship, congrats.  You have something special and are very lucky to have found someone.
But being single is not the end of the world.  It can be a great thing.
