Political Election

So the election is over, but that doesn't mean politiking has ceased.  Our friend Bruce Ercolino, from Veterans Shoe Repair, treats us to some clever comments made by some even more clever ---- and not so clever ---- people.   Thanks Bruce!

  • "A politican needs the ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month, and next year.  And to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn't happen."  Winston Churchill
  • "Politicians and diapers have one thing in common.  They both should be changed regularly and for the same reason."  Groucho Marx
  • "Politics, noun.  A strife of interests masquerading as a contest of principles.  The conduct of public affairs for private advantage."  Ambrose Bierce
  • "If you can't convince them, confuse them."  Harry S. Truman
  • "Outside the killings, Washington has one of the lowest crime rates in the country."  Marion Barry, former mayor of Washington, D.C.
  • "What right does Congress have to go around making laws just because they deem it necessary?"  Clarence Darrow
  • "Politics is the art of looking for trouble, finding it everywhere, diagnosing it incorrectly, and applying the wrong remedies."  Groucho Marx
